First concrete went in today

As the weather seems to be helping the work, we had the first layer of concrete put today for the foundations...

Here are some photos of the initial work in the foundations on the east side of the plot. We can already see some of the structure that will take the first layer of concrete tomorrow.

Weekend update

Due to the middle of the week rain and landslide, a pump to remove the water has been working since Saturday. The landslide also implicates more work to correct the already established walls. Only hope is that it doesn't rain that much in the coming weeks...

In the last 2 photos it's quite noticeable that impact of the rain on the actual road in from of the house, again demonstrating how poor the soil is there...

2 days of rain - more delays!
