The Beginning

Today I'll start posting regular updates on the adventure that is building a house in Portugal. I'll try to include most of the details that hopefully can help others that are thinking (or in the process of building) a house. This will be an even greater challenge because we live in Phoenix, USA...

The plot of land was acquired in 2011 and it took us nearly 2 years to get everything ready to start the construction, this included the architectural design, building license and the bank loan.
House will be located in Cruz-Quebrada, Oeiras, the plot of land has 585m2 and allows for a construction of 265m2 (level 0 and 1) + 290m2 in the basement.
